Hayley McLean

Texada is the musical project of singer-songwriter, multi instrumentalist, Hayley McLean. Producing a range of genres from alternative rock to cinematic pop, Hayley’s tracks stand out for their depth and musicianship.

The power music has in moving people – individually as well as collectively – is what inspires all of Hayley’s work.

Growing up in a musical family on the Salish Sea, Hayley started playing music with her two older sisters when she was 6 years old.

Hayley’s professional career began after she attracted international acclaim as a guitar player, landing a Fender endorsement and touring across North America as a hired musician for other acts. She focused on writing and producing full time after landing in Nashville TN in 2014.

Her Texada project’s (named after an island in the Salish Sea) first release “All My Life” made it’s way onto both Canadian and US Spotify viral charts.

Hayley produced and co-wrote  "What A Time" by Devon Gilfillian which is used in the promo spot for the Apple+ docuseries Lincoln's Dilemma and "Run" by Katie Garfield which is in the Death on the Nile film trailer.

Hayley has additional sync placements in shows such as Grey’s Anatomy, The Good Doctor, The L Word Generation Q, Fire Country and Batwoman.
