Young Summer

For Young Summer (a.k.a. Bobbie Allen) there’s a word she uses to describe her creative process: “deliberate.” Her music has been featured on blogs/press outlets such as Stereogum, Nylon, Noisey and USA Today. In the film & TV space, her success includes placements on Grey's Anatomy, Revenge, Vampire Diaries, The L Word Generation Q, American Horror Story, Pretty Little Liars, Station 19, The Good Doctor, God Friended Me and Looking For Alaska.

She released her sophomore self titled album, Young Summer,(produced by Konrad Snyder) with these singles released –  "Make Waves", "My My" , "I Still Like You" , "Emotionally High""You Make Dying Fun". Artist co-writing credits include "Wasn't You" by Housewife, "Too Sensitive" by Brye, "Stand Still" by Gatlin, "Over the Edge" by James Droll (Prescription), "Goodbye" by Echosmith (Warner), "Rage" by Madi Diaz (Anti Records), "Automatic World" by The Brummies (Sandbox Ent), "Slow Motion Doves" by The Shadowboxers (Joyride Music Group), "Being Alone" + "Summer Coat" by Gatlin and Shapeshifter by Brye.  Allen has performed with ODESZA, Tegan and Sara, Tove Lo, played Coachella and Sasquatch, and has sold out the Troubadour in LA.

When she isn't on tour or releasing new music, she travels to Nashville and LA to write with and for other artists. She lists Karen Carpenter, David Bowie, Michael Jackson, Fleetwood Mac and Prince as influences.
